The Good, the bad and the Ugly

I could not think of a better title than this. Ty Clint. Let me start by saying while I write this blog no names will be mentioned. This is a simple blog expressing my feelings. After all it is my blog. Here is my story and it goes like this.

After many years being a homemaker and an author on the side ( I will write a best seller) I decided to go back to work. Little did I know what I was getting into. I applied for a few jobs and went on several interviews. I unfortunately picked the WRONG one. I will not say where it was or who I worked for, but I will say this: I would not wish it on my worst enemy. This place was horrible and most of the people were too. I worked in the food service industry, and it was something I had very little experience. The people were their own little click and as days went on the y began to weed me out like a gang of prisoners. Of course, every job has a pet that the boss talks to about everyone and vice versa. There was also the fact I was tossed aside and dismissed rudely and went I asked questions I was a bother. I felt I was thrown to the wolves and no real training in my opinion. “To just figure it out is not training to me. I am sure I am not the first person to mention this or to go through this. The environment was hostile, and it just got worse and worse. I will give you an example. One day one of the workers pushed into my tray and nearly knocked me over. Then they were the constant quizzing what do you do next in a dismissive tone and made to feel demeaned. There was also the ignoring factor or you’re bothering me tone. After a while you begin to feel broken. This is no way to work or live. Needless to say, this was not a good opportunity. Finally, the day came when they said please resign and I did with pleasure. When I walked out the door, I felt a big boulder lift off my shoulders and I felt the pain slowly disappear and the fear and the frustration was gone. If I can offer any advice to anyone before you take a job or even apply ask yourself does this sound like I would be a good fit? Do you have any reservations about it? Do you have any experience? Please be careful who you work for. Do not let this happen to you. I felt every time I pulled into this place that I had a gun to my head a bomb strapped to my body. I know it sounds like an exaggeration it is not. I was in a very hostile environment. Now onto the next life lesson.

Firsts

Do you remember the first time you rode a bike and your mom or dad let go? Or the first time you drove a car? The first time you waved goodbye to your son or daughter going to school. I had a first today. I decided to have my daughter take the bus to school. I was ready and it was time. I know it takes me time to do things or someone would say let go. It all happens for a reason. I did it for many years with both of my kids.

Today she is a freshman in high school, my daughter is turning into a beautiful young lady. and I could not be prouder. So, wish me luck today and pray that she has a beautiful day. Life is good. Stay focused and be the best you can be.

Proud Mom

I have so many things to be grateful for especially in this crazy world today. First, I am blessed with a wonderful family. I have my faith and my trust in God. I am a believer in God and prayer.

Now for my amazing news my daughter who participated in an internship with project search an organization who helps young adults with disabilities My daughter received the news she was officially hired at the hotel. I am so proud of her and when she received her award like any mom I thought of her younger years and pictured her tying her shoe for the first time. I am so very proud of her today. My youngest daughter also achieved something great she has graduated middle school with all A’s. I am one proud Mom. I have walked in their shoes with them and know what it is like to fall and get back up. I have sometimes felt like I was re living my childhood with their struggles so similar to mine. I want to thank God for making me their mother and believing in us. I want to thank everyone, do and you know who you are that always believed in them. Do not ever tell someone they can’t because they can. All you have to do is try and you can do it. Do not ever give up and keep that chin up. Now onto the next life lesson.

Down on your luck

Do you ever feel like good news has been lost? Have you heard anything good lately? It seems the world has gone mad, and people are worried about nonsense. Yes, I said it nonsense. I am tired of hearing bad news. We need to change that. We need to do better in the world and help our fellow Americans. We need to stick together. They say strength in numbers so let’s do it.

Let us create a strong positive wave and let it go everywhere. Take out the bad and in with the good. Are you with me? Are you ready to put it out there? Are you strong? Are you capable? Are you sick of the bad news and the high crime?

What can you do to make things better where you live? If you live in a place where crime is going wild you need to vote with your feet and get out of there. Tell your representatives how unsafe you feel. Let others know and talk to your community form a group and get petitions signed. Fight for your freedom! Do not let the people control you.

Other People

Can you count on one hand how many times in our life we count on other people? For one second just think about it. We really depend on other people for a lot of things. People and money make the world go round. Do you know who we need most of all in this crazy world? Can you guess? I bet you cannot! We need GOD! Yes, we need to pray more, and we need to listen more. We depend on people in our everyday lives. We depend on grocery clerks, the restaurants, the police, fireman, farmers, plumbers, builders. There are so many people we depend on. Who do you depend on? How do you get through each day? If we took a few minutes out of our busy days to pray to God I bet our days would be better. God needs to hear from us. Every day I pray, and I hope he listens. Do me a favor think, pray and do each day. If we all come together than we can get through this craziness. Do not lose faith and if you feel you have get it back and talk to God. Thank you and have a blessed day. Now onto the next life lesson

You want to feel like you have accomplished something. What is it that drives you to be the best? What is that makes you want to do great things? When you work hard and succeed you feel really good inside. You know you earned your way to the top. You made it happen. You worked hard and put in the time.

No matter what you strive to do whether it is a school project, a job task, a graduation or whatever you put your mind to. YOU did it. You can pat yourself on the back and know that you have completed something meaningful,

If you work hard people will see it and you will be successful Now onto the next life lesson

Hello God

I have been praying for something for a while. I wonder if God hears me. I wonder if he is tired of hearing me. I pray for everyone else, and I always try to do the right thing. I will not lose faith and I will continue to pray. I just feel defeated and rejected. What can I do to get my prayer answered? I am not asking a lot. I just would like to know everything will be okay. Will my prayer ever be answered?

It seems others are getting their prayers answered. Is there something I need to do? I guess I am just frustrated, and I feel so defeated. I just want God to listen. I will continue to have faith and pray. It seems to be the only thing I can do. What would you do if your prayers were not answered? How would you feel? I want everyone to have a chance and pray. Here it goes God if you are reading this blog and you know what I have been praying for can you please answer my prayer? I believe in you and I pray to you every day. I appreciate everything you do for everyone. Thank you God and Amen.
