As you know my book is in the editing phase the first few chapters were edited and now I have to do some revisions. I got great advice and my friend she did a great job. Thank you Lori. Lori provided me with so much information and knowledge that I can use going forward. I explained how it was a very very rough draft. She apparently really likes the story so I am thrilled beyond words ( no pun intended) I hope you my audience and fan base will be too. I have lots more in mind for future literature works. One step at a time though as they say. I want to get through this novel. In the meantime get ready to meet the characters of my book really soon. I hope you enjoy my novel as much as I enjoyed writing it. Do you have a inspiration ? Are you creative? What are your talents? Kate n Jack look forward to sharing their love story with you. That is all I will say for now. Now onto the next life lesson.

How often do we spend looking for the perfect gift for the person that we love? We go from store to store and we search for that one thing that we know they will love. It is not the gift it is the effort that you go through to find that something to put that priceless smile on their face. It is knowing that you made the effort to think of that person that you love. When you see that smile as they are opening their gift it warms your heart. You have found something that has made them happy. You know it is the one thing that they wanted and you used your time and effort to find it. What is your favorite gift that you have ever received? What warms your heart? It could be anything. It is a token of their love to you. Gifts should always come from the heart. Maybe they wrote a song for you and they recorded it and it is your song for life. Maybe they found you the perfect necklace or maybe they just surprised you with a car. Whatever it is its from the person that loves you. I think that should be enough. After all it is not the gift it is the thought that counts. Now onto the next life lesson.
Decisions we make them all the time. What job to take, what men or woman to date, where to live, what to wear, and what to do about any given situation. We are always making decisions. We need to learn from our past mistakes and move forward. If we made the wrong choice well then we need to make the right one the next time. Some decisions are not easy to make we may hurt people in the process. Life does throw curve balls and that is okay that is how we learn to think on our feet. It is all about what you decide and how you want to live. No one else can make the decision for you. You are in charge and you need to decide. We only live once and I hope we are smart enough to make decisions. We hope our parents taught us values and to believe in ourselves. We have all made bad choices and we hope we have learned from them. Sometimes we make bad choices in relationships and that is hard to get over . Other times we make a bad job choice that one is easy just get a new one. We have to make tough choices in life. We do not always have enough time to decide, We need to make fast decisions. After all awhile we know what we want in life and what we don’t want and then all off those decisions become as easy as deciding which purse to buy. So go with your gut that is my advice. We have learned about all types of history in school and books. But there was one history we did not learn in books it is our history. Where we came from? How our parents met? Where their parents came from. All of that stuff we cannot learn in books we learn from our parents and grandparents. If you think about it they have lived through all sorts of inventions the radio, television. the car, the movies. My relatives always say, “I remember when it was a nickel to see a double feature” Those were the days they would say. I think Disney has a showcase the carousel of progress it shows how the world has evolved and it is what is today. It is amazing what has happened throughout all of these decades of time. We have inventions that we have seen as well. I remember when HBO came out, cell phones. VCR, a boom box, tapes, CD’s and now streaming the technology advances so fast. Time waits for no one. So if you can learn about your history. Find out where you are from and your background. You never know what you might learn about yourself. Now onto the next life lesson.
Are you hooked on social media? Do you follow the rich and famous? Well, if you do than that is your prerogative. Of course maybe it is time for a hobby. Like I said it your business. Why do we care what the famous are up to? Do they ask about us? Now do not get me wrong I have nothing against rich people they provide jobs and a lot of the time came from nothing. I would rather know their story how they got to where they are and how they struggled and pulled through that is more interesting to me. I enjoy learning about people and knowing facts. To know that any dream is possible than anything is worth a shot. Now I wrote a novel and it is in its editing stage I hope and pray that something comes out of it. Say a prayer for me and of course I will continue to pray for all of you. Thank you for reading my blogs each day. I want to know that you were here. All you have to do is click on the date and write a comment it is that simple. I will read it and respond to you. Now back to the blog. We all have a story to tell and we all want to be heard one way or the other. What are your ideas? Are you a visionary? Do you see success in your future? Success has many different faces. So whatever idea you have go for it if not you will spend your life wondering what if? Now onto the next life lesson.
I went to a two year college made some amazing friends and had the unfortunate next step of transferring to another college. This was difficult and many others I knew that did felt the same way. I was forced in a freshman dorm, should have been with juniors, and to top it off a friend took his own life. I think that was the icing on the cake. I did make friends and still talk to til this day but it was not for me. I needed some time off and here is where it started. My dad is very big on education and wanted me to go back to a local college right away. I decided to get a job at a popular local restaurant as a hostess. It was fun but I knew he was right so every day he would say, “You gotta get your tickets” which means you have to go back to school. So one July night while watching the Blues Brothers I had made my decision and it was clear I needed to continue my education. I gave my two week notice and then I was off to the student orientation at my final stop for education. It was definitely the best thing I ever did take time off and then go back. Needless to say I got my tickets!!! I did it and do you know what the man never said he was proud of me. WOW! after all of that. I guess others were more important. Oh yes, he took his significant other car shopping instead of attending a small gathering at my boyfriends house. (Now my husband) Oh well you cannot teach an old dog new tricks. Note to self and not that I need it always be proud of your kids and tell them. Now onto the next life lesson.
No, I am not talking about Tornadoes I am talking about people that twist our words. They hear what they want to hear and twist around what we really mean. I do not like that feeling of having my words twisted around. I feel like the truth is fiction and it is their truth and not mine. Who said it was okay to twist one words. Or how about a male says something and a female says the same thing but some people will only hear what the male said. Now I am NOT a feminist by any means and I do not care who said it I am going to listen to the person who offers the truth and logic male or female. There are people out there that only listen to certain ways of thinking and I am fine with that. What I am not fine with is the twisted truth. There is ONLY one truth . You have to show respect for people that give respect. If you do not than that changes everything. I have always been a big fan of the truth. How about you? Do you let people twist your words? Are you afraid to speak up? Do not be afraid to speak your mind it is so important to be heard. Be true to yourself and be heard. Now onto the next life lesson.
Last night I went out with my friend. We had not been out on a mom’s night out in quite awhile. It feels good to go out and just feel free. It something we all need to do. Everyone needs space and time to themselves. It is necessary to feel free every once in awhile. We all have schedules. jobs, routines, kids, and families. We need time to unwind. It is human nature. I even took an Uber for the first time on the way home. We did not want to worry about parking and driving. We had a great dinner and walked around even found something to buy that was not expensive. Bath bombs ever use them? I am looking forward to it. I love going to a shopping area and just finding bargains and beautiful things to buy. I had a wonderful night with a good friend. Do you ever go out and have fun? How long has it been? Maybe you should go out more often. It feels good to let loose and be free . We are all humans and we need fun. It is important to have fun, laugh. and smile. Try it you will see it is worth it. Now onto the next life lesson.
Just recently I learned of an old friends death . I had not heard from him in years. We were in one of the elementary schools together and continued through High School. He was the first person I met on the bus to school. He was a nice kid. He did not live far from me. He was a good kid and never caused any problems with anyone. It really hits home when someone your age passes. You think about how you knew them and you picture them as they were when they were young. I feel bad for the friends and family he left behind. I saw pictures his friends posted on social media and that was the Chris I remembered. He was very private about his illness and completely understandable. I hope he is no longer in pain and at peace. I hope he is no longer suffering. I will always remember you as the nice smart kid on the bus on the way to school. Fly with the angels my friend. This blog today is dedicated to all who have passed away to young . Now onto the next life lesson.
My prayers are thoughts are simple. I want my family to be happy and healthy. I want anyone who is sick to be healed and anyone without a job to get one. I do not ask for much. All I want is the things I have mentioned that is all I ask. I work very hard to take care of my family. I put in 150% in everything I do. I am not perfect and I always do my best. I am exhausted from being on top of everything , I do not take enough time for me. My blog and my book are my ME time. It is not a lot. I am always putting everyone else first. I only want the best for my family and those that I love. Balancing it all is not easy. I do not want a pat on the back or a medal. I just want to know that I am appreciated. I want to know that I am making a difference. To some nothing is good enough or it is not right in their eyes. I say that is your opinion and your problem. All good people deserve kindness and respect but we do not always get it. Every day I pray for peace, good health, and to heal anyone that needs it. I do my best and that is all I can do.
