I thought this since today was Halloween I would write about it. What was your favorite costume you wore growing up? Did you wear it more than once? Do you eat all of your candy? What is your favorite candy? Do you go to Halloween parties? What was your favorite Halloween ever? Do you believe in ghosts? Do you dress up your pet? Halloween was always fun to me. I am going to share a funny story in memory of my Dad. One night I went trick or treating with my best friend and I was a little upset because we had a fight and my dad was listening to this Orsen Wells radio program about a martian invasion and people believed he was so believable anyway I asked him Will there be school tomorrow and he just thought that was so funny. HA HA. I thought about if something happened that was serious than I would never make up with my bff and thank god today she still is. I hope you got a good chuckle. Happy Halloween everyone and be safe out there tonight. Have your parents and or guardians check your candy. Now onto the next life lesson.

We are only given one life. One chance to make a go of an experience that can only be given once. We complain about things. we cry . we laugh. we go through tough times. these are many many things that we experience.  We need to make the most of it not just when we know it is almost over but our entire life. No regrets just making the best of life. Do you have regrets? Do you have things you want to accomplish? Of course we do we all do.  Some of us had not had the best life but we make the best of it now. We have hopes and dreams and goals. We need to do those all of those things. Life is short and we need to make the best of it.  Stand up for what you believe in, laugh more, have that one piece of cake, do self care, always be true to yourself and never give up. Now onto the next life lesson.

Old friends and reconnecting

Very recently I reconnected with someone I used to know during a time that was very difficult for me.  We were only kids back then and we did not really know what the future would bring.  Years had passed and we reconnected through social media and I learned many things about this person.  We even had some things in common. I never thought in a million years I would reconnect with this person.  I am glad I did. We spoke for about an hour and we have spoken before only this time I asked for their advice.  We will call them CB. I have someone else I call C so we will use these letters instead.  I want this person to know that just by me asking them to listen if they had time and the fact they made the time made my day. If someone needs to talk try and listen. It makes all the difference when you show that you care. It is not every day you come across people that want to listen and help. You have no idea what a difference you can make just by making time for someone.  It makes very BIG difference when you make time for someone. I want to personally thank this person and I want them to know how much I appreciate their advice.  I hope that this person takes the time to read this and know how much it meant to me. I also want to say that this person can do anything they put their mind to.  You know what you have to do CB.  I am cheering you on.  Again. thank you for making  a difference. Yes, next time I owe you what we talked about for all the years we missed. Now onto the next life lesson.

Do you worry a lot? Do you stress out a lot? Are you always thinking about what if? If you are I am sure you like many people that worry. I see some people that walk around without a care in the world. How do they do that? Or is just what they want people to think? I can tell you that I worry. I worry about my girls and the future , I know it will be okay as long as I am alive but what about after that?   I do not like the unknown and add worrying to that not a good combination.  I have faith but sometimes I need more than faith. Do you have faith? How do you worry less? How do you de stress? I have a heavy heart right now as you know my Dad is gone and lately things have been stressful and I just pray that it ends soon because inside I am worried. I believe God has a plan. I have prayed. If you can or do please say a prayer.  Try to enjoy life and not worry. Thank you for reading my blog. Now onto the next life lesson.

Self care

It is so important to take care of yourself both physically and mentally. It is important to take time out to do something for you. When you do you feel so much better about you. When you are not feeling like yourself you do not feel like taking care of yourself. When you forget about you the negativity sets in . You start thinking about all the wrong things and your faults and you think that you are not good enough. You are good enough and you are worth it. Mental health is so important.   We all need to self care. What do you do to take care of you? What do you do to relax? How do you handle stress? How you see yourself is how others see you. Just take time for you. Do something fun.  Be at your best and feel good about yourself.  Let me know how it goes.  Now onto the next life lesson.

How is someone not held accountable for their actions? How is that ever possible? I tell you it is people that let others get away with things. It is not fair to the honest people who do the right thing and uphold the law. It is bureaucracy that delays thing that could get done in hours or days not weeks or months. The red tape is ridiculous. Why does it take so long to get something done? Why can’t it function like a well oiled machine? There are to many people doing the same job for to long and no one checks or really evaluates what is going on.  It is the people of the community that suffer. It is the waiting and the waiting that is unbearable.  You should always be held accountable for your actions. If you do something wrong or you are not doing your job you should find another job. It is not fair to other people doing their job and getting paid for their hard work and you have one person who is getting paid for not doing their job. People need to support their families and put food on the table.  Have you ever worked with a lazy employee? Have you ever known someone to collect a paycheck and not done their job? Do they leave early or come in late?  What if they did not work in government and worked in the private sector? Would they get away with what they are doing ? If they did for how long?  Do you job and do it well. If you cannot do your job they will find someone who will. There has to be consequences for actions. Let’t not promote bad behavior.  Now onto the next life lesson.

Did you know it cost nothing to be kind? You can spread kindness and feel really good about it. You can talk to people nicely and smile at the same time. A real genuine smile. There are so many ways of spreading kindness. What happened to being kind? There is so much hatred and divide. How did this happen? Maybe if we spread the word we can spread more kindness and drown out the hate. Learn to disagree and still talk to each other. Come together instead of apart.  Smile instead of frown.  Shake hands instead of hitting one another. Let’s see if we can do that. Even though we disagree still be friends and show how much we care about one another. Kindness can be the new trend.  How can we spread kindness? We can smile more, we can pay it forward, we can talk nice to each other, we can shake hands, we can help each other if we need it.  We can do good deeds, we can just be kind! It does not take much. Think about how much energy it takes to be angry and what little energy it takes to be kind? It takes so much less energy to be kind and we would be less tired and aggravated. I know sometimes we have bad days however,we can control our emotions. We can take deep breaths, or let out a good cry, or go to the gym. These are productive ways of being kind.  I am always on board with being kind. If people  just want to selfish and hateful well maybe one day they will see the light. So go ahead go out there and just be kind. Kind is trending..  Now onto the next life lesson.

SOMEDAY Giving back

I think that certain people have really good hearts and if they have been through hard times than they know how it is to have nothing and work really hard to get somewhere in life. We all struggle in different ways. We have all been told you can’t and then we do. I do not like to be told that I can’t and I was told that my whole life. I believed that I could not do anything right. Sometimes I still do. BUT I know I can. I wrote a children’ book a years ago and just recently wrote a novel. I am making very little and that is okay it is better than nothing and it is a start. I did the self publishing again only this time at little or no cost to me. I advertise on social media on Facebook and Instagram. SOMEDAY is the title and it is on Amazon if you are actually reading this than please check it out.  I told my readers on Facebook I will give back. What that means is as my sales grow and grow and when I sell up to or over  million copies I will donate to the charity of my choice.  I will give back and I have the perfect charity in mind. The more I see the better for everyone. So what do you say go order your copy today.  Thank you in advance for your purchase. Now onto the next life lesson.

The Book or the movie?

Which do you think is better the book or the movie? I always love the book more than the movie.  There are a few exceptions where both are really good. I actually hope that SOMEDAY no pun intended can be a movie. Who knows maybe it will. It is always possible. You just never know. Whatever your dreams do not give up and keep going. I am going to keep on writing. I like to picture in my head what the characters look like while I am reading the book and I do not usually pick famous people just people I think they should look like. I like to use my imagination. I like to become a part of the story. It is so much fun to do that. We love the movies and we love to see our favorite actors and actresses. There are so many classic movies out there. I love a good crime story and a good mystery or romance. I do not drift from my comfort zone to often but once in awhile I will read something different. I am reading What You Did By:Claire McGowan I am not thrilled with it. I am actually bored. I have other books I bought so when I am done I will read those. Maybe it will get better. Either way the book in my own opinion is better than the movie. What do you think? What are your favorite books and movies? What book would you like to see made into a movie than has not been done?  Here is some news I am working on another book and the title will be released after Christmas. It will be out sometime soon In the meantime, keep on reading and go buy my book SOMEDAY on Amazon.  Now onto the next life lesson.

Now none of us remember being born. We all exist and we know we have a mother and a father. Two people brought you into this world and they gave you life. The most precious gift. You celebrate your birthday every year. You may get a cake or go out for dinner or both. It is your choice it is your day. It is your celebration of  life. Some people do not like to celebrate as they get older. Others love to celebrate their life.  YOU only have one life make it count do something great!  Tell the one you love you love them. Some of us like quiet celebrations. Quiet celebrations are fine How about gift giving do you really think about what the person wants or do you just go with something simple? Maybe you have a list and someone can buy from that. I feel that if someone is going to buy something they should surprise you and get you something that you have always wanted.  They should put some thought into it and make it special. If someone does not make you feel special you should not be with that person.  If they make you feel like you are the only one in the world than that is special. Everyone should celebrate their life.  It should be fun and happy.  With all of that said I want to wish my Mom in heaven a very Happy 85th Birthday! I hope you are at peace.  Now onto the next life lesson.
